Multiple Offender Program (MOP)

The Multiple Offender Program (MOP) is a seven day residential program conducted at Amethyst House in Epping. The fee, set by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and cited in the New Hampshire Code of Administrative Rules (He-A 800), is $1550.00. Amethyst Foundation receives $1300.00 for each client. The State of New Hampshire, which handles all fee collections, receives an administrative fee of $250.00.

Clients typically are transported from their County House of Correction on Friday morning. They remain until the following Thursday at 5:00pm. Intake Interviews are conducted on the Friday on which the client arrives. Assessment interviews are conducted by a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) on the Thursday on which the MOP program ends. Clients must remain at the facility for the entire week.

Intake Interview

One (1) hour Intake Interviews are required prior to enrollment in all impaired driver intervention programs. This interview consists of an one-on-one interview, the completion of state-mandated forms and diagnostic screening instruments.

Assessment Interview

One (1) hour Assessment (exit) Interviews are required for all clients with New Hampshire convictions or for New Hampshire drivers who have a conviction for DWI that is listed on their New Hampshire driving records. These interviews are conducted by a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). Individual assessments and treatment plans (usually required by He-A 800) are formulated.
